ON THIS DAY in MISSIONARY HISTORY
21 April 1855 –When Dwight Lyman heard the challenge: “The world has yet to see what God can do with a man completely surrendered to Him.” He ran forward shouting: “I will be that man! I will be that man!” D.L. Moody was converted to Christ by his Sunday school teacher, Edward Kimball. Moody went on to become a powerful Evangelist and in 1886, he founded the Moody Bible Institute, a Christian institution of higher education.
